Before you start your Rescue Course, you need to be medically trained in basic First Aid & CPR. If you completed medical training previously, the course needs to be recognized and valid within the last 24 months. If not, we can offer the Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary care or React Right course which meets the Medical and Safety pre-requisite for the Rescue Diver, Divemaster and Instructor courses.
Emergency First Response Course information
The EFR course is scheduled over 1 day. We are totally flexible and can plan this around your personal time frame. Most commonly, EFR courses are conducted on the day prior to a Rescue Diver course starting.
Emergency First Response training focuses on building confidence in lay rescuers and increasing their willingness to respond when faced with a medical emergency. Course participants learn simple steps to follow for emergency care. You will practice applying skills in a non stressful learning environment.
